This is the first computer that I had ever built about 6 years ago. I built a new computer a year or 2 ago when I moved to college and just recently set this one up for my sister at home. It was using a USB adapter for its network card but after getting hit many times, finally ended up breaking. This is the network card that was used in my recent build so I highly recommended it for this computer as well. Pictures follow of the card and computer it is going to be put into. If anyone is interested in picking up one of these cards, you can get one HERE
This case did not have much room for cable management so I did what I could about a year ago when I ripped out all the fans that were much too loud.
It looks like this computer has one remaining PCI slot. Perfect since the USB adapter that was being used broke!
Still plenty of slots for expansion.
The best part about this network card is it is basically plug and play. Windows recognizes it and installs the drivers immediately after booting it up for the first time with the network card installed. Has high connectivity with excellent speeds even far away from the router you are using. I would highly recommend the TRENDnet 300Mbps card to anyone, especially if it is on sale for half price as it usually is!
